The ME Trust is the only UK charity focused on developing clinical services for people living with ME/CFS. We provide care in a variety of ways, for example, home visits, outpatient clinics and telephone consultations, by a team who all have extensive experience of supporting people with ME/CFS. Raise donations for The ME Trust – Supporting People with ME/CFS whenever you shop online

Bursary Fund

We want to provide help and support for everyone with ME/CFS regardless of their financial circumstances. We currently offer a bursary of up to 50% of the fees we charge for people who are in financial need. If you would like to help more people to access our services please consider making a donation to our bursary fund. Every penny will go to support the care and treatment of people with ME/CFS

Sadly we have had to cancel our Events until the Government lifts restrictions on gatherings.

Meanwhile, why not enjoy August even more and host a Strawberry Tea for the MET.  Further details and fundraising materials can be found here.

We will announce plans for future events as soon as possible.

2.6 Challenge

A big thank you to our supporters who took up the 2.6 challenge. Thanks to their heroic efforts, they have raised over £4,500 for the ME Trust in one weekend!

Rollo, our chairman, did the equivalent of 2.6 miles in laps on his balcony, dressed in a onesie. There were two 2.6 triathlon challenges undertaken by Alison and also our youngest supporter, Eva (aged 6). Another supporter, Kim, walked 2.6 miles during her daily exercise – also dressed in a onesie!

Sponsored Events

Join in one of our sponsored events or make up your own.

We have had to cancel our Big Onesie Walk in May due to coronavirus, but that shouldn’t stop you from putting on a Onesie at home and finding somewhere to walk locally as part of your daily exercise.

For those who are completely housebound, just put on a Onesie and find an indoor challenge – how about a sponsored silence, or learning a poem to perform to family and friends via facetime.

Anything that will raise awareness of people with ME who were already isolated before the current lockdown. Raise some money and send us your photos to [email protected]rust.org.uk

Challenge Events

Challenge yourself and raise money for the ME Trust.

Outdoor events are particularly difficult at the moment due to the ongoing effects of public lockdown. We hope to set up an Abseil challenge in the Autumn when it is possible to do so.

Fundraising Ideas

There are many ways for individuals, families, voluntary groups, churches and schools to get involved with supporting our work. From simply holding a fundraising coffee morning or an Afternoon Tea for ME with a cake stall to arranging a fundraising concert in a local church or school, you could be making a significant difference to the lives of people who might have been bedbound with ME/CFS for many years.

Download a fundraising pack that is full of ideas and a “How To” guide here.

Please tell us if you plan to organise a fundraising event.

We can:

  • provide a template for posters, flyers, bunting and sponsorship forms
  • help you publicise your event on our website and let everyone know how you
    got on afterwards
  • provide information about the work of the Trust

Please contact us if you would like someone to come to your fundraising event to speak about the work of The ME Trust.
